Ian Foley heads up the Compliance & Enforcement Section of the Trade Compliance & Responsible Business Unit in the Department of Enterprise, Tourism & Employment in Ireland. The section is responsible for monitoring compliance in the following areas: Dual Use, Military, firearms, anti torture and trade sanctions Ian leads on audits, enforcement policy, outreach and investigations.

Ian is also the Irish delegate to a number of international and EU Technical Expert groups such as the Enforcement Coordination Mechanism and the Enforcement Exchange of the Australia Group
